Sukiyaki with prime rib

 

Preparation

Bring 1 litre of salted water to the boil. Remove from the heat; soak the rice noodles in the water for 2 to 3 minutes and drain. Chop the prime rib into strips. Wash the vegetables. Chop the carrots and button mushrooms into thin slices and the Chinese cabbage into strips. Drain the bamboo shoots.
Heat the oil in a wok and stir fry the prime rib for 1 minute over a high heat. Remove the meat from the pan and keep it warm. Add the vegetables to the oil remaining in the wok and stir fry for 2 minutes over a high heat. Add the sukiyaki and cook the vegetables over a low heat for 5 minutes. Put the prime rib back in the wok and heat until the whole dish is thoroughly warmed through. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve the prime rib with the rice noodles.
